The Enchanted Highway

On the road between Regent and I-94, Gary Greff has installed 6+ larger-than-life scrap metal sculptures.  Each has taken several years to complete.  The first to be erected was the Tin Family in 1991.  It was followed by Teddy Rides Again, Pheasants on the Prairie, Grasshoppers in the Field, Geese in Flight, and, most recently in 2002, The Deer Family.  A seventh sculpture is under construction.

The sculptures are built from various types of used scrap metal—well pipe, wire mesh, fuel and oil tanks, etc.  The largest is Geese in Flight—156 feet long and 110 feet tall.  The buck of the Deer Family is 75 feet tall, the rooster in Pheasants 70 feet long, and Tin Pa 45 feet tall.
