The first day of summer weather (85+ & humid) and my last chance to hike before leaving. Since I had to drop B&D at the airport around 8:30a, I needed a hike nearby, so I decided to do the most recent 10k volksmarch circuit at McKeldin. This loop maximizes the ups and downs, but I doubt that any of them are over 100 feet, probably closer to 50′–nothing compared to the thousands I’ll be doing in a couple of weeks. I didn’t take my camera, so this picture is from a previous hike, obviously earlier in the year before everything greened-up.
