Built
under the direction of Father Baker between 1921 and 1925 at the corner of Ridge
Road and South Park Avenue in South Buffalo, the basilica was designed by Emile
Ulrich of France. When completed, its dome was the second in size to that
of the U.S. Capitol Building.
