Bright Angel Trail
Indian Garden to Trailhead
It's only 4.6 trail miles from Indian Garden up to the trailhead on the rim, but there's an elevation gain of a little over 3,000 feet. There are also two rest houses with toilets and water at the 1 1/2 and 3 mile points. This part of the trail is heavily traveled by day hikers, and it is along this section of the trail that we met the mule trippers.
